On October 14th former German diplomat, Stefan Schlüter began a two-week speaking tour to 12 cities across the Southeast and Midwest region of the United States. The objective of this project, administered by the American Council on Germany in cooperation with the American Jewish Committee, is to engage Jewish communities in U.S. cities that do not generally have opportunities to examine German-Jewish themes, and to openly discuss Germany today in the context of its history, providing a more-informed perspective of contemporary Germany. Throughout his tour Stefan Schlüter engages with communities at local organizations, synagogues, and universities.
