This year’s Campus Weeks – sponsored by the German Embassy Washington – presents a series of events directed at undergraduates at US universities and colleges. This year’s topic Shaping Germany focuses on the internal factors that are contributing to what Germany will look like in 20, 30 or 50 years. Events include a lecture series with national and international presenters, a bi-weekly film series on the topic of migration, and a self-guided poster exhibit.
Dr. Evan Torner from the University of Cincinnati talks about Race, Socialism, and the East German Science Fiction Film followed by a screening of Der schweigende Stern directed by Kurt Maetzig.
