In cooperation with American and German radio producers and broadcasters the Goethe-Institut USA bring out roughly 50 radio features for a program titled The Big Pond. A US-German Listening Series. Features are broadcast nation-wide on a weekly basis and are all available for free download in podcast format.
In this episode: Five generations have lived in the Alexander Haus on Groß Glienicker See outside Berlin over the past century – enduring fascism, war, the division of Germany, and the fall of communism. Now, the former family home has undergone yet another transition into an educational center.
