In this presentation, Professor Margaret Menninger of Texas State University talks about how the last weeks and days of World War I affected ordinary Germans in the capital city as well as the provinces. This lecture is a joint effort of the Chappell Hill Historical Society, the German Studies Association, and the Year of German Ameican Friendship. Professor Menninger is the incoming Secretary of the German Studies Association.
