The Exchange Orchestra invites you to a joint concert of the Detmolder Jugendorchester and the McLean High School Orchestra.
For more than 20 years the exchange has given students from both countries a unique opportunity to develop understanding and friendship through music. Every year the two orchestras take turns to visit each other, students stay with their host families, prepare and perform a symphonic concert and explore each other’s cultural and historic background. This year’s program includes works by Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski , Pablo de Sarasate, Franz Krommer, Leonard Bernstein, John Williams, Klaus Badelt, and Paul Lincke.
