Discussion: German and American Perspectives on Jewish Life after 1945

Historians Michael Brenner and Pamela Nadell speak about Jewish life in Germany and the United States following the end of the Second World War. They discuss how the Jewish communities in both countries have evolved in the nearly 75 years since the end of the Holocaust. A representative of the Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste), a German peace organization founded to confront the legacy of Nazism, also joins the panel. The conversation is moderated by journalist Marc Fisher of The Washington Post.
