The Legacy of the Refugees in Exile (1933-1945) is an all-day symposium on the intellectual and cultural legacy of the many Jewish and anti-Nazi refugees who arrived in the United States, with a special focus on those who settled at Washington University in St. Louis. The event features personal testimony on the experience of exile, discussions of the work of prominent exiled scholars, and a tour of a special exhibit on those scholars who taught at Washington University.
