Goethe Pop Up Seattle: Artist Talk with hackedepiciotto

Goethe Pop Up Seattle is partnering with Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery to bring you an artist talk with Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto – know as hackedepiciotto – both legends of Berlin’s post-punk scene. US-Born De Picciotto moved to West-Berlin in the eighties to become lead singer of the Space Cowboys, co-founder of the Love Parade, a collaborator in Gudrun Gut´s Ocean Club and from 2000 onwards Hacke’s ‘accomplice’. Hacke is founding member and bass player of Einstürzende Neubauten, an experimental music group that helped pioneer industrial music. Over the last two decades, the artist couple, who married in 2006, has been involved in numerous international projects and album releases.
At the Goethe Pop Up Seattle, the artists speak about their involvement in Berlin’s cultural scene, their decision to become nomads, and their current creative projects.
This event is free and open to the public. Please register at
