You are invited for a screening of Polluting Paradise (2012) a documentary by German-Turkish filmmaker Fatih Akin that takes you to the Turkish village of Çamburnu which has been turned into a garbage dump by the government. The screening is introduced by Joela Jacobs (University of Arizona) and Jens Klenner (Bowdoin) who will also lead the discussion following the movie screening.
The screening is part of a town hall event under the titel Shades of Green: Germany and the Environment.
