American Council on Germany, Dallas Warburg Chapter and Denver Council on Foreign Relations Associates welcome Dr. Stefan Schlüter, Program Director at the German Foreign Office’s Diplomatic Academy in Berlin to discuss the rise of populism and nationalism in Germany and Europe. Last October, Stefan Schlüter undertook a two-week, 12-city speaking tour in the southeastern and mid-western regions of the US, engaging over 1,200 Americans in conversations about German-Jewish relations, Germany’s coming to terms with its past, and rising anti-Semitism and populism in Europe. As since his trip in 2018, populist trends have been on an upward trajectory in many European countries, Mr. Schlüter will be visiting six U.S. cities this year – Austin, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, and San Francisco.
