Symposium: Anthropocene. Archaeology of the Present

As part of a large-scale Anthropocene project, people’s impact on Earth’s biological, geological and atmospheric processes are being examined, with special attention given to the topography of the Mississippi region.
The symposium Anthropocene. Archeology of the Present brings together archaeologists, artists and activists to discuss different approaches to the study of human-environmental interactions over time and space. Transformation processes, including the migration of species, food and land use, are questioned on their social and economic impact.
