In partnership with the National WWI Museum and Memorial, Goethe Pop Up Kansas City brings the Holocaust remembrance project Lest we Forget to the city. This powerful outdoor installation from German-Italian photographer and filmmaker Luigi Toscano is exhibited at the Memorial Courtyard at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. For his work Toscano visited and took photographs of almost 400 Holocaust survivors worldwide. The current installation features around 70 portraits, seven of which were recently taken in Kansas City.
The exhibition is under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Heiko Maas.
