In celebration of the Bauhaus Centennial Goethe Pop Up Seattle presents a talk about the woman at the legendary school. The Bauhaus was not only a groundbreaking school that combined arts and craftsmanship for the first time, it was also one of the first academic institutions in Germany that provided equal education rights for women and men. In her talk German architect Kira Jungfleisch explores the school’s most underrated members – women artists.
The talk takes place at Peter Miller Books, where the Bauhaus Photography exhibit by the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin is on display.
+++ Due to unforeseen circumstances, the talk Women of the Bauhaus has been postponed from Tuesday, June 25th, to Tuesday, July 2nd. Time (6pm) and location (Peter Miller Books) remain the same. All Eventbrite registrations remain valid. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. +++
