Goethe Pop Up Seattle and Alliance Française de Seattle invite you to celebrate peace and unity in Europe in commemoration of Europe Day. Starting at 6pm, you can visit the exhibition White Bunnies, Arabic Cola, and the Last Passenger Pigeon: Comic Stories from Germany co-presented by Le Monde diplomatique and the Goethe-Institut. Discover the back covers of the German edition of the monthly newspaper on international politics, culture, and current affairs that showcase avant-garde, critical comics. At 6:30pm a reception takes place with opening remarks by official representatives of Germany and France. From 7 to 9pm, you can see a selection of short films by SHORT EXPORT and the Institut Français that tell of unexpected encounters, of searching and finding and the long journeys that often go along with it. Light refreshments are being provided.
The event is open to the public as part of the Capitol Hill Art Walk.
