Student Talk: "Fritz Ascher: Expressionist"

The Nazi regime forbade the Jewish artist Fritz Ascher to paint, so he resorted to pen and paper – the Gray Art Gallery in cooperation with the Fritz Ascher Society shows pictures and poems by the expressionist persecuted by the National Socialists (1893-1970). The exhibition is flanked by an accompanying film, a podcast and a supporting program with students from New York University.
Part of the program flanking the exhibition is a German language gallery talk with students of the German International School New York, White Plains. The talk is part of a German language program developed by the Goethe-Institut New York and the Fritz Ascher Society, with workshops about Fritz Ascher and Berlin, a booklet and an app.
