The Nazi regime forbade the Jewish artist Fritz Ascher to paint, so he resorted to pen and paper – the Gray Art Gallery in cooperation with the Fritz Ascher Society shows pictures and poems by the expressionist persecuted by the National Socialists (1893-1970).
Part of the program flanking the exhibition is an evening with the Consul General of the German Federal Republic David Gill and affiliates of the German Academy New York. The exhibition tour and gallery talk are followed by a dinner.
