The Nazi regime forbade the Jewish artist Fritz Ascher to paint, so he resorted to pen and paper. The Gray Art Gallery in cooperation with the Fritz Ascher Society shows pictures and poems by the expressionist persecuted by the National Socialists (1893-1970). The exhibition opens with a large VIP vernissage and is flanked by an accompanying film, a podcast and a supporting program with students from New York University.
